I'm definitely on the side of micro chipping - they can track a pet's health and what vaccinations they've had, etc.

But, I do doubt they truly track your pet. Our dog was stolen from a boarding kennels in Portugal. We were told that the I'd on her chip is only unique to the country of origin. So if she was taken to, say Spain, her id would be useless.

> Jay,
> What an enlightening article. We have thought about this for a while now. I am going to share your article with Carl and see what he thinks.
> You never want to think that your beloved pet could get separated from
> you, but as you stated; many pets were able to be reunited with their people after Katrina. Thanks for a well written article.

I think microchips can be beneficial. There are plenty of animal lovers and by implanting the chip into their pet this will allow them to keep tabs of their whereabouts should they become lost. Kudos to the inventor.

Thank you again Jaylen for coming up with fantastic blogs regarding all aspects of technology. We greatly appreciate YOU!!

hmmm could this be the precursor to 'mark of the beast'? I guess technically it *is* a mark of the beast. (apologies to hardcore pet owners)
