Money Monday : The Money Band

Published on

“Perfect for cyclists, climbers, travelers, runners, or anyone who wants to keep things minimal or keep their wallet in the front pocket.

Money-band is the original rubber band wallet replacement. More versatile and slimmer than a money clip. Many times slimmer and more ergonomically correct than your George Costanza hip-displacing leather variety.

Money-band is not a typical rubber band. It’s custom manufactured to our exact size and specifications and not anything you can find at your Office Supply stores. Not only is it approximately 1/2 inch shorter in length than standard office rubber bands for security, it’s the right width and thickness for easy handling.

If you’re tired of rolling with a junk-filled hunk of leather, then Money-band is the way to simplify and keep a tight hold on your cash and cards.”

Money Monday : CherryPal

Published on

To save money, where should you start first? How about your computer?

“The CherryPal desktop is a tiny PC designed with the user in mind. It does all the things you do every day: surf the web, keep in touch with your friends, listen to iTunes, watch videos, word processing, presentations and spreadsheets, all without the hassle of a traditional PC. It only uses 2 watts of power, lasts 10 years and has 80 percent fewer parts. There’s no software or upgrades to install, no risk of viruses, and no operating system to deal with and free 24/7 support – all for just $249. We’ve created the most affordable, easiest-to-use and greenest desktop computer available.”

The site is smooth, the rendered CherryPal looks sleek, but would you buy this?

I’m wondering how this will go if it becomes popular and if we’ll see cherries replacing apples on the backglass of cars everywhere.

Flickr Friday : Festivals

Published on Friday, July 18, 2008

“Holi, also called the Festival of Colours, is a popular Hindu spring festival observed in India, Guyana, and Nepal. On the second day, known as Dhulhendi, people spend the day throwing colored powder and water at each other. The spring season, during which the weather changes is believed to cause viral fever and cold. Thus, the playful throwing of the colored powders has a medicinal significance: the colors are traditionally made of Neem, Kumkum, Haldi, Bilva, and other medicinal herbs prescribed by Ayurvedic doctors.”

New 3G iPhone : Purikura Style

Published on Friday, July 11, 2008

The only way to show our love towards the iPhone that Dennis waited in line for this morning, was to surround it with hearts and stars. It’s very fitting, we think. (While the inferior iPhone is in smoke and flames.)

Purikura is a style of printing found in many Japanese photo booths. The kitten mousepad? Always a special added touch to such occasions.

Useful Tuesday : RSS Snacks

Published on Tuesday, July 01, 2008

Are you new to using RSS feeds? If you want to ease into the transition, Snackr may be the answer for you. It scrolls summaries of feeds across your screen and provides eye candy at the same time.

You do not even have to leave your screen to read one of the articles. They pop up into a small window and just as easily disappear so that you can get back to what you were doing.

Snackr is a very polished and useful tool!
